Then you can try running the installer again.
Later Java versions in later Windows operating systems may not be compatible with that earlier ARCHICAD installer. Or if you have a bootable installer for the older OSx, you can try installing it that way, but not sure if it will support your new MAC hardware that way. I don't think you can boot up older OSx installer from a newer version of OSx.

It is a large house at about 5000sf. Right now with the model fully built I'm around 220mb - does this sound right for a project this size? Would this be considered a larger file size or average for a custom home this size? I haven't really begun the CD portion yet either so I imagine it will grow larger. I know I have some older objects that were imported that I didn't use that I can delete so maybe that will help.

There is an option to 'Store Drawing in the Project File' when you place PDF and images and such. A large number of Layouts will also increase the size a lot. I do not use the embedded library much, but if I include my project library folder, typical medium to large home will be around 50-100 MB.
We do have some office libraries that are used in every project, that I am not including in this size. A hotel with 55 rooms project we are working on is around 250 MB and still works fine, so the file size itself is not something to worry about in terms of speed. They could have an impact if higher resolution than you need, but a high polycount from certain Sketchup models is a likely candidate. As Erwin says, this may not be a problem for working, but if you are looking to make a model leaner for use in BIMx, you might want to reduce the polycount. You can check with the polycount tool (a goodie) to see where you're at. If you have a lot of turned balusters or newels, that is often a place to look.
There are tools such as Accutrans 3D (www.micromouse.ca) or MooTools (that can significantly cut the size of the polygon count without losing too much of the model. Author: Posted: Wed Sep 27, 2017 12:51 am (GMT+1) Hi, I've been paying for and using Archicad since 2004, but recently had a quiet spell of work, so delayed my Select Agreement / upgrade, with Central Innovation, to Version 21. I did this before V21 was out and the 'Relationship Developement Manager' said they would call near the time my upgrade option was to expire - Tina didn't call. My work picked up and I contacted Central Innovation and was put onto Sam, the new 'Relationship Developement Manager', who sent me a bill for $3,861 to upgrade, including $2,020 + GST for a '1 step upgrade (penalty) for not upgrading in time! V21 was not quite out yet and I complained about the penalty charge. Sam said he'd put my case to Management and get back to me.
I have not heard from Sam or anyone at Central Innovation since July 2017. Its funny how they call their points of contact 'Relationship Developement Managers'!
I guess they can stick their upgrade charges, cause they have downgraded this relationship! Our reseller says I should just uninstall BS and their probably right, but I fear the new BS/BC installation will not pick up the previous data and I'll have to restore everything from backups. The current BS version is 19 (9001) FIN. I've tried upgrading it to BS 20 and 21 INT as well as BC 20 and 21 INT but always with that same error. BS 20 FIN installer doesn't give the error, but unfortunately there is no BC 20 or 21 for FIN (and never will, since localizations are all included in the same version now - which is how it should have always been).
